Bamboo & Organic Cotton Muslin
From
$5.00
For those who love a fine, flat and beautifully polished muslin, this lightweight Bamboo & Organic Cotton Muslin is a lovely addition to our crochet-ready range.
Soft and fluid with a delicate open weave, it has a smooth, traditional appearance and beautiful drape. Unlike our puffy Bubble Muslin, this fabric lies flatter and feels lighter, making it particularly lovely for breathable baby wraps, cloths and swaddles.
The fabric is naturally undyed, giving it a warm off-white tone rather than a bright optical white.
Each piece is carefully prepared with an overlocked edge followed by our signature hemstitching, creating tiny, evenly spaced holes ready for you to add your own crochet edging.
If you loved the neat, flat appearance of our previous 4-Ply Muslin, this is the option we recommend. It is much lighter than the old four-ply fabric, but offers that same beautifully simple, traditional look.
Prewashed, finished and ready for your crochet hook.

Care Instructions
This muslin is supplied unwashed. For the easiest crocheting, we recommend adding your crochet edging before the first wash, while the hemstitched holes are crisp and clearly defined.
Once your crochet edging is complete:
Gentle machine wash in cool or warm water
Use a mild detergent
Wash with similar light colours
Do not bleach
Gently reshape while damp
Line dry where possible
Warm iron if desired
The muslin may soften, relax and develop a slightly more textured appearance after its first wash. Some shrinkage may also occur, which is a natural characteristic of an unwashed cotton and bamboo fabric.
When choosing your crochet thread, we recommend using a washable thread and allowing a little flexibility in your crochet tension so the edging can settle naturally with the fabric after washing.
